Resolving Information Fragmentation

Why CivicOrbis Exists

Political transparency in India often suffers from fragmented records, inaccessible disclosures, and difficult-to-interpret public filings.

CivicOrbis exists to transform these scattered archives into structured civic intelligence accessible to every citizen. By translating complex, raw public registers into visual and searchable formats, we empower voters with evidence-based insights.

Democratizing Public Data

Our Mission

CivicOrbis was founded on a simple premise: a healthy democracy requires informed, active citizens. Public archives and legislative records are technically open, but they are often stored in deep, hard-to-navigate databases, complex PDF affidavits, or fragmented registries.

The mission of CivicOrbis is to translate this raw material into highly structured, accessible, and queryable civic intelligence. By consolidating election results, legislative attendance, asset declarations, and Cabinet execution metrics, we raise the standard of political transparency across Kerala.

We do not endorse political parties, candidates, or ideological positions. Our objective is to present neutral, verifiable, and structured facts so citizens can form their own evidence-based conclusions.

The principles that guide our data governance

Our Core Pillars

NP

100% Non-Partisan

We operate with zero political affiliation or funding from partisan groups. CivicOrbis data pipelines ingest and present data exactly as published in statutory filings, maintaining total neutrality.

100%

Source-Backed Integrity

Every single metric on the CivicOrbis platform is linked to its primary authority. We believe that claims without citations are unacceptable in public discourse. If you see a number, you can verify it.

RO

Radical Observability

CivicOrbis bridges the gap between pre-election commitments and post-election cabinet approvals. We track schemes from their initial manifesto announcements through to financial deployment.

Primary Registers

Where Our Data Comes From

Rigorous pipeline mapping from primary government registers

CivicOrbis systems extract, parse, and normalize public data from multiple authoritative State and national repositories. No figures are estimated or gathered from unofficial rumor mills.

ADR / MyNeta & ECI

ECI / Form 26

We ingest and structure candidate disclosures compiled by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) / MyNeta alongside statutory Election Commission of India (ECI) public filings.

Kerala Legislative Assembly

Niyamasabha

We digitize the state assembly (Niyamasabha) archives to compile exact member attendance records, legislative questions asked, and assembly participation stats.

Cabinet Briefings & Government Orders

Govt Orders / CM Press

We track official announcements from the Chief Minister's press releases, Gazette notifications, and departmental budget allotments to fuel the Governance Tracker.

Open Source Tech & Public Audits

Built for Civic Good

CivicOrbis is built using high-performance modern tech (Next.js, Django, PostgreSQL) optimized for low bandwidth and mobile compatibility. We believe civic tools should load instantly for citizens in both high-density urban hubs and remote high-range regions.

We welcome audits of CivicOrbis data pipelines. We are committed to absolute data integrity and maintaining highly reliable, structured public records.
